Speaking of Streets of Rage 3, there are also motorcycle sequences, which are a cool mix up in the gameplay. You're also able to take different routes at certain points, and the route you take determines the ending, much like back in Streets of Rage 3. For example, you are able to call in a strike from your police friends, which was a feature in 1 but was missing for the rest of the franchise. The gameplay blends a ton of features from the old Streets of Rage games. The long and short of it is "bad guys have popped back up, and you have to go beat them up". The story takes place years after Streets of Rage 3, but it isn't particularly in-depth or interesting. While the game was shut down back in 2011 due to legal issues with Sega, Streets of Rage: Remake still has a fantastic amount of content for what it is, as it managed to hit version 5.1 before it was shut down. Streets of Rage: Remake is a fan creation of that hypothetical Streets of Rage 4. A Sreets of Rage 4 never got off the ground. They steadily built it into a franchise but faded into obscurity along with the beat em up genre in the mid 90s. Its name was known alongside Double Dragon and Final Fight. In the early 90s, it was known as one of the best beat em ups available on the market.
